1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the TrueAngles platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

TrueAngles is an AI-powered emotional intelligence learning platform that provides coaching, mood tracking, and structured curriculum to help users develop EQ skills. The Service includes:

  • AI-powered coaching conversations with Aria (coach) and Emmi (tutor)
  • Mood tracking and emotional pattern recognition
  • Structured learning modules across 12 EQ competencies
  • Progress tracking and personalized recommendations
  • Community features and peer learning opportunities

3. User Accounts

When you create an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using TrueAngles, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person through your use of the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our consent
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract AI model weights or prompts
  • Use the Service to develop competing AI coaching products

5. AI Coaching Disclaimer

TrueAngles provides AI-powered coaching for skill development and educational purposes. The Service is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, therapy, or counseling. If you are experiencing mental health issues, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

The AI coaching provided is based on educational frameworks including ICF core competencies and Kolb's Experiential Learning Cycle. It is designed to help you practice and develop communication and emotional intelligence skills. Results may vary based on individual engagement and application.

Our AI coaches (Aria and Emmi) are AI systems, not humans. While they are designed to be helpful and supportive, they cannot provide the same level of care as a licensed therapist or counselor.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding your personal data.

Conversation data with our AI coaches may be used to improve the Service. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at hello@trueangles.ai.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, functionality, curriculum, and AI systems are owned by TrueAngles and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The 12 EQ competency framework and coaching methodology are proprietary to TrueAngles. Reproduction or distribution of this curriculum without permission is prohibited.

8. Subscription and Payments

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees as described at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase if you are not satisfied with the Service.

9. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service, including journal entries, reflections, and community posts. By submitting content, you grant TrueAngles a non-exclusive license to use, display, and process that content as necessary to provide the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate the rights of others or any applicable laws.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrueAngles shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid to TrueAngles in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TrueAngles, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
